Workshops & Training
Bring a KEA Canada session to your team or boardWhen a board and staff build fundraising confidence together, a culture of philanthropy takes hold.
In a KEA Canada workshop, your team leaves with practical tools and a shared language, in one focused session shaped around where your organization is right now.
Every session is tailored, not off the shelf. Kathy wants to know who is in the room and what is keeping them up at night, then builds the session around it.
Available in person or virtually, as a half day, a full day, or a single focused session.
Planning a conference or member event? Visit our Speaking page for more information.
Sessions we are often asked to bring in-house:
The Scarcity Trap: Escaping the Overhead Myth
What capacity actually costs, and the full-cost language to plan for abundance instead of survival.
Where Your Revenue Comes From, and Where It Could
An introduction to the GROW Model, so your board and staff see where revenue comes from now, where it is concentrated, and where it could grow.
Confident Donor Conversations
For the people who do the talking. How to talk about your work, make the invitation, and ask with confidence, so the conversation feels like offering someone a chance to support something they already care about, not putting them on the spot. Practical and hands-on, with room to practice.
You Don't Have to Ask for Money
A working session that turns “our board doesn’t fundraise” into a board that knows its role and wants to play it. Practical, participatory, and kind. Nobody is cold-calling anyone.
Finance and Fundraising in the Same Conversation
Drawing on Kathy’s dual background as a CPA and a fundraiser, the shared language that lets boards, finance, and fundraising answer one question together: what does the mission actually cost, and how will we fund it?
Ready to fund your mission?
Not sure which fits? Book a call. We’ll talk about where you are and what you’re carrying, and point you to the right next step. If the honest answer is “none of these yet,” we’ll tell you that too, and point you to a roundtable, the book, or a course that fits.

Land Acknowledgement
The KEA Canada team is thankful for the opportunity to create, collaborate, play and work on the lands known today as Canada. We recognize that these lands are home to the enduring presence of all First Nations and Métis people, and the Inuit.
We acknowledge that KEA Canada's home office in Canmore is in the area traditionally known as “Chuwapchipchiyan Kudi Bi” (translated in Stoney Nakoda as “shooting at the willows”) and the traditional Treaty 7 territory of the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda) – comprised of the Bearspaw First Nation, Chiniki First Nation, and Goodstoney First Nation – as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Blackfoot Confederacy comprised of the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai. We acknowledge that this territory is also home to the Rocky View Métis District within the Battle River Territory (District 4).
We are grateful for the meaningful relationships that we are forging with Indigenous communities across this land that we know today as Canada as we work towards truth and reconciliation in all that we do today and every day.
